Aminul Islam Khan
Aminul Islam Khan is presently working as Secretary in the Technical & Madrasah Education Division in the Ministry of Education. Prior to this challenging assuagement he worked as Secretary in the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs. During 32 years in the Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) he worked in various ministries and divisions and to name a few Local Government Division, Water Resources and Labour & Employment.
Early in his career, Mr. Khan spent about 5 years in Bangladesh Embassy, Doha, Qatar as First Secretary and attended WTO Summit, OIC Summit etc. Later, he worked in the Commonwealth Secretariat and acted as Regional Director & Head of the Youth Programme in the Commonwealth Asia Region. He spent about 11 years of his professional life abroad. His major achievements include transformation of Bangladesh MHM School & College in Doha, the largest Bangladeshi School abroad where he introduced English version and presently students from 7 other nationalities study there. While in the Commonwealth Secretariat he helped in developing youth policies including the National Youth Policy of Bangladesh 2017 as well as the Action Plan and youth development index.
Mr. Khan is a public speaker and presents key notes in international and national meetings. As a visiting scholar he spoke in IITs and IIMs, Punjab university in India, Malaysia and Brunei universities. He is also a reputed trainer.
He is passionate and dedicated about changing attitudes, influencing their thoughts and bringing changes in the lives of others.
He is involved in a number of social and professional organizations. He is the General Secretary of EDAS and the Vice President of Bangladesh Administrative Service Association to name a few.
