Junaidul Haque is a renowned writer of fiction and essays. He was born in Kishoreganj in 1955 but grew up in Dhaka. He enrolled as a student in the Department of English, University of Dhaka in 1975 and obtained his MA in English in 1978 (exam held in 1981). He retired as the General Manager, Finance and Admin of a reputed international airline in 2018. He has eight books of fiction and essays to his credit.
